Abstract:
This study focuses on the digital skills of employees in Bahrain across different sectors to explore their ability and willingness to migrate fully to digital systems. The study involved a quantitative survey of 109 employees, and the results suggest that some skills are crucial for facilitating digital transformation, including digital skills, information management skills, communication skills, collaboration skills, critical thinking skills, and problem-solving skills. The study’s objective is to explore the relationship between Bahrain Employees Digital skills and Digital Transformation. The data was analysed using SmartPLS to assess the measurement model and structural model. Overall, the results obtained showed a significant relationship between Digital skills and Digital Transformation. The study's theoretical contributions highlight the importance of these skills in digital transformation and offer insights into the factors that can make this process more efficient and effective. The managerial implications of this study provide guidance for organizations looking to engage in digital transformation by identifying the skills that are critical for success and highlighting the importance of employee selection and development. Limitations of the study include the relatively small sample size and the use of self-reported data. Future research could expand the sample size, use a mixed-methods approach, explore the role of other factors, and investigate the impact of training programs on the success of digital transformation initiatives. Overall, this study provides valuable insights into the skills required for successful digital transformation and offers recommendations for organizations looking to engage in this process.
