Abstract:
This study aimed to identify the leadership behavior of school leaders and its relation to the development of social responsibility among secondary school students in Saudi Arabia. The study sample of (301) teachers consisted of (169) teachers and (132) female teachers working in secondary schools in Saudi Arabia. The measure of leadership behavior by Fiverr, translated by (Dorrah, 1993) and the social responsibility development identification by (Al-Ghamdi ,2016) were used. Using the descriptive approach and statistical methods, the study revealed a positive relationship between the leadership behavior of school leaders and the development of social responsibility among secondary school students in Saudi Arabia. The study also showed statistically significant differences at (a = 0,05) in the development of social responsibility among secondary school students by gender are due to the leadership behavior in the grand total of the average responses of the sample members of the study. Considering the average responses of the sample members of the study, the differences were in favor of the female teachers. Lastly, the study showed significant differences at (α = 0,05) in the development of social responsibility among secondary school students by gender are due to the leadership behavior in the grand total of the average responses of the sample members of the study. The results of the dimensional comparisons show that the differences are for the years of experience that are more than ten years.
