English Abstract
Abstract : As the COVID-19 pandemic hit the world all the educational institutions were forced to resort to the on-line mode of education delivery, Bahrain based Business Educational institutions did so too. On-line learning was under way as a potential alternative to the traditional mode of education since more than a decade, previous research has focused on several aspects of on-line learning but very few such research has been conducted in Bahrain. We focused on the disruptive potential of on-line learning in Bahraini context in this thesis. This research focuses on these components of on-line learning: instructor's satisfaction, assessment techniques and IT skills. We did focus interviews using a questionnaire to gather data from Business educational institutes' instructors on these components and then used SPSS and Smart PLS as the analysis tools. It was found out that instructor's satisfaction with the technologies used in on-line learning does not play much role in their decision to adopt the on-line learning as a mode of education, but the other two components are an indicator of the adoption of on-line learning. It was concluded that instructors are quite satisfied with the assessment techniques being used by the educational institutions but they need to learn new IT skills and have faced some difficulty in learning them, however, these both will play a dominant role in determining the disruptive potential of on-line learning in Bahraini Business educational institutions.
