English Abstract
ABSTRACT : This project highlights the experiences of well known Bahraini companies involved in joint ventures with foreign companies for their international operations. These companies (Gulf Powerbeat, Saudi Bahraini Transport Co. and Garmco) have established strong management whose interest not only to do business in Bahrain but always expand and go international. The report first covers Gulf Powerbeat Company, a company that is intending to develop and implement an entry strategy to penetrate GCC automobile battery markets with new technology. Then it covers Saudi Bahraini Transport Co which needs to tailor a strategy and direction to achieve its goals. This means SBTC management needs to define its broad directions and objectives. After that, comes the GARMCO's case which focuses on whether it should continue expanding its operations abroad or just focus on the existing customers to make the best out of them. Every effort has been to provide as much detail as possible about these companies' management, marketing, product mix, organization, competition and the challenges they are facing. These cases are developed for the purpose of class teaching and discussion and, hence, they are written in a simple and easy way so that the students can make their contributions and give their recommendations on them in the class discussion in a very effective and efficient manner.
