Abstract :
Objectives: This study deals with the relationship between the meaning of
the quality of life and some characteristics related to the positive social behavior in a group of orphans in areas of optimization, social support, positive efficacy, oppeness, reconciliation and forgiveness. This study also deals with gender differences(males-females)in the quality of life variables as well as social behavior charactistics.
Sample: The sample consisted of (239) participants divided in to (120) non orphans and (119) orphans.
Method and Instruments: The correlational method to show relationships
between the meanings of quality of life with those of positive social behavior was used. The following measures were also administrated in this study: the positive social behavior check-list and Quality of life Questionnaire.
The results: the results showed that there was a strong relationships between the quality of life and that of positive social behavior among the orphans.
