Abstract :
Based on concerning of woman and quest to protect her rights and freedoms in the kingdom of Bahrain "legal mechanisms to protect the rights of Bahraini woman" has been chosen as the subject of the study, and that explain the meaning of mechanisms protecting women's rights in Bahraini Constitution, legislations of Bahrain, and international conventions acceded. Also, this study statement means force national and international protection of women's rights, and their adequacy statement and applied on the ground. And explain the legal framework for the protection of Bahraini women which divide in the three foundations: the constitutional basis: which represents the highest legal safeguards, and the foundation Convention, which represents the provisions of international conventions and mainly "Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women" known as (SEDAW), and legislative basis which represents the legal rules relating to women, whether in ordinary laws or regulations. With regard to national mechanisms to protect women divide into three types: civilian organization: which consist of women's associations and the Women's Union through its achievements and projects, official bodies represented in the Supreme Council for Women, which sets strategy for the advancement of women, and which deemed as a reference to the ministries concerned with women, and finally the legislative organs which play an important role in the implementation of women's rights. Although this study explain international mechanisms contribute to the advancement of Bahraini women and mainly United Nations efforts and its agencies, as the women's rights issues that are protected internationally, has worked Bahrain to harmonize its legislation with the provisions of international conventions related to women, and raised reports on Convention on the Elimination All Forms of Discrimination against Women, and joined several international women's organizations.
