Executive Summary:
Survey on Opinions of primary school teachers (1st Circle) about the usage of Behavior Objectives in teaching related subjects in Kingdom of Bahrain.
The Behavioral Objectives are considered to be the first fundamental step for the teacher in preparing his program and his teaching. To work without clear objectives is more or less irrational and random activity.
What makes the teacher use the behavioral objectives is their assistant to be clear for the target and role of their objectives in directing positively the effort of learning. They help in selecting the requested content to be implemented and directing him to the appropriate method and path. They help him also in evaluating learning educational situation.
The study targeted the opinions of primary school teachers (1st Circle) about the usage of Behavior Objectives in terms of teaching related subjects. The aim is to determine the difficulties that they face in writing their objectives, implementation and evaluation and then to recommend specific practical suggestions that help to efficient usage for behavioral objectives and to put a vision in development of present plans that was made by these teachers.
The problem of this study summarized in the following questions:
1. Are there any differences with statistical evidence between opinions of Male and Female teachers in the first circle about:
Determination of clarity of these objectives?
The effects of usage of behavioral objectives in dividing the scientific subject?
The effects of previous planning for these objectives in learning situation?
The difficulties in writing behavioral objectives?
The difficulties of implementation of behavioral objectives?
The relationship between the behavioral objectives and evaluation?
2. Are there any statistical evidence between opinions of Male and Female teachers in the first circle at the level of 0.05 about the usage of behavioral objectives according to years of service and sex and interaction between them?
The study used descriptive method and employed through this study a questionnaire prepared by the researcher.
The sample of the study was 126 male and female teachers from first circle of government primary schools in Kingdom of Bahrain (50 male and 76 female).
