English Abstract
Summary:
This study aimed to identify the effect of using computers in helping female students learn scientific concepts. The researcher used the quasi-experimental approach through two study groups: an experimental group and a control group. The study sample included (46) female students from the third grade of primary school in government schools affiliated with the Ministry of Education in the Kingdom of Bahrain who were enrolled in the second semester of the academic year 2003 AD.
The results of this study indicated that the average achievement of the experimental group students who learned with the help of the computer in the achievement test was higher than the average achievement of the control group students, with a statistical significance of 0.05.
This result indicates that using the computer has an effective impact in helping female students learn scientific concepts.
The study presented a number of recommendations that could contribute to improving and developing science teaching methods in primary schools.
