Abstract:
The current study aims to identify the effectiveness of the dialectic behavioral counselling program in reducing some depressive symptoms in the widows' category in Bahrain, as well as the significance of differences between the grades of members of the experimental group on the Aaron Beck Depression Scale before and after the application of the indicative program. The study relied on the semi- experimental one-set design curriculum, and the study sample consisted of 8 widows. The researcher in this study used Aaron Beck's scale of depression. The study found that there were statistically significant differences between tribal and postgraduate measurements in the overall degree of depression measurement, in favor of telemetry. In other words, the degree of depression among members of the sample has decreased after they have passed the counselling program based on argumentative behavioral counselling to reduce some depressive symptoms in a sample of widows in Bahraini society; this indicates the effectiveness of the programmed. The researcher made a number of recommendations, the most important of which was the intensification of courses and induction workshops by officials of widows' institutions of society, with a strategy for behavioral counselling, which had an impact on their overall mental health.
