Appendix (4) Summary in English: The current study aimed to identify the level of work system stress and marital compatibility in terms of agreement, satisfaction, marital cohesion, and emotional expression among sample members. It also aimed to identify the significance of the relationship between the work system stress and the level of marital compatibility between spouses. It also aimed to reveal differences in work systems and the level of compatibility considering some demographic variables (gender, work sector, educational level, years of marriage, and number of children). The current study used the descriptive, correlational, comparative approach. The sample consisted of (72) married workers from different sectors and work systems in Bahrain, (52) males and (20) females, of whom (46) worked in the regular system and (26) worked in shifts, and none of the sample worked in any other system. The sample was selected randomly. The current study used the Marital Adjustment Scale and the Work System Stress Scale. The study concluded that there was work system stress at an average level and marital compatibility was also at an average level among the sample members. The study also concluded that there is no statistically significant relationship between the work system stress variable and marital compatibility. The study also revealed that there are no statistically significant differences in work systems and the level of compatibility considering the following demographic variables (gender, work sector, educational level, and years of marriage). However, in the marital compatibility variable, there are statistically significant differences at the significance level of 0.05 in favor of individuals without children. The sample who does not have children, while there are no differences in the work system variable. This indicates that those who do not have children have more marital compatibility than those who have children.
