Abstract : Cybersecurity standards are often implemented to manage cyber threats, avoid risks, apply the best practices to enhance the level of security in information technology systems and networks. Governments around the world developed and designed national information security/cybersecurity frameworks to achieve their national visions and strategies, intending to improve the assurance of availability, integrity, and confidentiality of information. The Kingdom of Bahrain presented a national framework called the "Cyber-Trust Program CTP", which aims at protecting both information and communication, increasing the awareness of government users, as well as developing national cadres in the field of information security/cybersecurity. All of which leads to improving information security and enhancing Bahrain's regional and international status in the information security field. This study aims to find the impacts of the CTP on the cybersecurity maturity of the government entities and investigate how the CTP can impact the cybersecurity maturity assurance of the organization. The data were collected by conducting semi-structured interviews with the information technology experts in the Bahrain government entities participating in the CTP and collecting data by conducting a survey using a questionnaire distributed to people working in the information technology field. The findings of this study suggest that the CTP had a significant impact on the cybersecurity posture of the government entities that participated in the CTP; it increased the awareness of the employees, reduced the rumber of cyberattacks, and optimized the available resources. The findings also highlighted the role of top management in the success of the implementation of the CTP. The results also ensure that the CTP's maturity model affected the cybersecurity compliance of an organization and the implementation of cybersecurity policies and controls. This study implies that to achieve better cybersecurity managers should focus on implementing the policies and controls provided by frameworks to enhance the cybersecurity posture. This study enhances our understanding of the impact of the CTP and its components and evaluates its influence on Bahrain's cybersecurity posture.
