الملخص الإنجليزي
Abstract:
Purpose: The purpose of your study is to explore the influences of digital
transformation on employee behavior during the COVID-19 pandemic in the education
sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Design/methodology/approach: The method used to conduct this thesis was to
conduct a qualitative analysis through two methods: focus group and in-depth
interviews on Bahrain schools in order to enrich the literature on this concept and to
discuss how the influence impacted the employee's behavior and assist them in
adapting to the digital transformation during COVID-19, the pandemic.
Findings: The findings show that the pandemic had an influence on employees,
particularly in the early stages of the crisis. However, as the digital transformation
began to be implemented and plans began to be put into action, teachers demonstrated
great engagement despite their fair and even went above and beyond what was
expected. The main internal influences that impacted the employee's behavior either
positively or negatively are leadership, digital literacy, and working from home. In
addition to teachers' privacy, teachers face many challenges due to these factors.
Research limitations/implications: This will focus on the influences of digital
transformation on employee behavior limited to the education sector in Bahrain.
Practical implications: This research lays the groundwork for identifying the most
significant intemal influences during COVID-19 to consider in order to overcome the
problems that arise during and post the pandemic, and how to take advantage of the
lessons learned and the challenges on a larger scale and across different sectors as much
as possible.
Originality/value: This thesis makes key recommendations toward closing the gap
between the challenges introduced as a result of the pandemic and digital
transformation and their influence on employee behavior.
Recommendation: To enhance the digital employee experience by improving the
digital culture and work from home concept.
