English Abstract
Abstract : The National Bank of Bahrain has undergone organizational transformation since appointing Mr. Jean Christophoe Durand in 2017. Transformation requires tremendous efforts to be put by different stakeholders (including staff) and it is double edged sword. It creates performance gains and unexpected loss. This study aims to determine the impact of transformation management on NBB’s staff satisfaction. Specifically, it investigates whether the management procedures, career development plans, technology orientation & adoption, and NBB’s newly created committee (the social committee activities) along with the personal demographic details such as )age, gender, years of service and seniority level (current position)) have an impact on staff satisfaction. The research design is quantitative. The research population is NBB’s staff and the sample size is 300. To test the hypothesis that the above variables impacts staff satisfaction, a selfadministered questionnaire was distributed to random samples of NBB staff. The sampling technique was stratified random sampling as the respondents were divided into three categories (clerical level, Middle Management & Executive Management). Responses were analyzed using correlation, correlation coefficient & coefficient of determination, One-Way ANOVA test, coefficient of determination of multiple regression, Chi-Square test & T-test independent sample test techniques. The results showed that there is statistically significant impact of management procedures, career development plans, technology orientation, the social committee activities and current position on staff satisfaction. The results have also showed that there is no statistically significant impact of age, gender and years of service on staff satisfaction. Based on the thesis results, organizations striving for a successful transformation journey to identify and invest in change agents, have proper training and succession plans & invest to prepare talent for future jobs requirements.
