Abstract:
This study investigates the essential characteristics of the personal financial landscape of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Saudi Arabia, with a specific focus on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. A total of 154 respondents, comprising owners, managers, and administrators of Micro, Small, and Medium-Sized Enterprises (MSMEs) in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, were surveyed to gather data. The results of the study indicate that younger entrepreneurs and businesses experienced greater financial consequences, particularly among owners aged 18–30 and 31–45, compared to older age groups. However, both younger and older entrepreneurs demonstrated a higher level of financial knowledge and
awareness regarding emergency finance options. Overall, the outbreak had a significant impact on both the national and global economies. This study offers a significant contribution to the extant body of literature pertaining to Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
