Abstract :
This study is meant to seek the opinions of EFL teachers regarding the
program that implemented in the third primary at Bahraini public schools.
This study an attempt to analyses the most important issues in the program
and the teaching learning process as a whole.
To achieve this objective the researcher designed a questionnaire consists of
28 statements, covering different aspects of teaching English in the third
primary program that are related to curriculum implementation only,
because the subjects are concerned only with this part. All schools that have
third primary classes were given the questionnaire. SPSS Package was used
too to determine the reliability of the questionnaire. Results of the
questionnaire were statistically analyzed. Percentages, Standard Deviations
and frequencies were the main statistical procedures in this research.
The study reveals that most of the components of the third primary program
are suitable. The results show that 92% of teachers believe that the
ministry's decision to start teaching English from the third primary is
successful, although there are certain weaknesses that should be tackled.
The study presents some suggestions that can be useful to improve the
program.
