The verbal Aggression behaviors and its relationship between self-perception and jealousy of secondary schools' students In Kingdom of Bahrain
The Abstract:
The study aimed at identifying the percentage of the aggressive behavior of the secondary students in Kingdom of Bahrain as well as recognizes the verbal aggression behavior. It also aimed at identifying the relationship between their behavior and jealousy and self- perception. It also aimed at identifying the gender and the age significant differences in verbal aggression behavior, jealousy and self-perception among the secondary students in Kingdom of Bahrain. The sample consisted of 240 (Male and female students) who were randomly selected from the four governorates of Bahrain, 60 students in each one (30 male/30female). The comparative descriptive approach is used in the study. The results indicated that the verbal aggression behaviors prevalence among the members of the sample was (19.2%): male (11.7%) and female (36.7%) The highest rate was for the item (I get nervous easily and rapidly when someone bothers me). The results also showed that there is a negative correlational and statistically significant relationship at the level (0.01) between the verbal aggression behavior and self-perception, (r=-0.572). There was a positive correlational and statistically significant relationship at the level (0.01) between verbal Aggression behavior and jealousy, (r=0.541).
The results also showed that there is a negative correlational and statistically significant relationship at the level (0.01) between self-perception and jealousy. There is a negative correlational and statistically significant relationship at the level of (0.01) between self- perception and jealousy (r=-0.590). The results also indicated that there is a statistically significant difference (0.05) at the level of verbal aggression behavior when it comes to the gender, and it was for female students whereas it was for male students when it comes to the age at the level of verbal aggression behavior and jealousy at the age of (19) years and (15-16) years when it comes to the level of self-perception.
